Gender ID laws:
Current situation in Croatia is not favourable towards recognising more extreme transgender practices such as transing children or pushing women into allowing men into their toilets or bathrooms. The government is fairly conservative and far right Christian groups have socially prominent voices, so this is not a reason to be happy. Liberal feminists and LGBT groups are lobbying for these things and unfortunately some of the women’s spaces are lost because of it (a few shelters ran by libfems allow transgender males). Laws are much more liberal in Serbia, our neighbouring country, so people who want to trans their children or make some trans surgery on themselves can go there.. Serbia is far more open to many other neoliberal law changes and is considering legalising surrogacy.
