Update on 'gender identity' laws:
As of date the Bahamas has no laws that oppose or legalize 'gender identity'. People are free to self identify but it is not recognized according to law, socially or within any institutions or organizations. Recently the Bahamas signed onto the CiWiL Chapter which is gender inclusive of the LGBTQ community but opposed by the government. To date there are no laws on the table in this regard.
