'Gender identity' in Indonesia

In Indonesia, there are currently no laws specifically related to 'gender identity'. Indonesia is a country that is religiously conservative, and the people here tend to see gender as a natural phenomenon. At some point though, Indonesian court does recognize the ability for one to legally change sex. There is a certain case in the 90's in which a man who had undergone operation was allowed to change his sex to a "woman" in legal documents.
