'Gender identity' in Singapore

Singapore allows gender marker change with complete top and bottom surgery. Trans people are allowed to get married to their "opposite sex" partner, a gay/lesbian marriage by any other name. There are about 7-8 trans groups in Singapore which is more than can be said for lesbian or even women-centric groups. Recently, the trans rights activist arguments have been popping up more and more in the younger generation.
