WHRC statement in support of Résistance Lesbienne

WHRC expresses our solidarity with our French sisters from Résistance Lesbienne, after a trans-identified male from the extremist group Antifa harassed and tried to burn lesbians who were participating in Bordeaux Pride. Read more about the incident in this article from 4W.

Article 5 of the Declaration on Women's Sex-based Rights affirms women’s rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of association.

This specifically includes the right of lesbians to assemble and associate on the basis of their common sexual orientation, without including men who claim to have female ‘gender identities’.

We reassert and support the right of exclusively same sex attracted women to participate in peaceful protests and activism without fear of retribution.
