WHRC weekly newsletter
Latest news from WHRC
Last week WHRC was made aware that some trans activists on Twitter have been keeping spreadsheets of the names of our signatories. We would like to reassure everyone that there was no data breach. We do not know why these people have been keeping track of our signatories or what they plan to do with the meagre information they have collected. We do know that people, especially women, expressing support for gender critical positions are continually threatened, harassed and abused by supporters of gender ideology. Meanwhile, a female politician, also a member of the Green Party and sitting in the German Federal Parliament, Renate Künast, has finally succeeded in getting several (not all) sexist insults in social media legally recognized by an Appellate German Civil court; however, no criminal proceeding against the offender(s) has started so far. That means, “hate speech” against trans-identified men seems to be more actionable than hate speech against women.
