WHRC attended the FiLiA conference this weekend, the largest in-person feminist conference in the UK. We broadcast our weekly Feminist Question Time, on the topic of the UN and how it has lost touch with grassroots feminism. Read more about the event on the FiLiA website. A protest, supported by Amnesty UK, took place outside the venue. Protestors carried signs with sexual threats and chalked obscene graffiti on the ground. Maya Forstater has asked Amnesty whether sexually harassing women counts as political protest (scroll down to read). Daisy, a 45-year-old woman conceived through rape won the Emma Humphreys Prize for her contribution towards ending male violence. Karen Ingala Smith gave a moving speech at the vigil for women murdered by men.

The Children in the Pictures - screening
As part of the annual International Day of the Girl 2021 fundraiser Australian campaign against the exploitation of women and girls, Collective Shout, is hosting a virtual screening of The Children in the Pictures, a ground-breaking 5-star documentary highlighting the work of Task Force Argos in fighting the online child sexual abuse pandemic. The screening will be held this Friday at 7.30 pm AEDT. Tickets cost a minimum $25AUS donation and include access to an expert panel discussion. Register here.
