WHRC sends support to the Feminist Legal Clinic in Sydney
Thank you to all who were able to sign our open letter to the Lord Mayor of Sydney. The Feminist Legal Clinic provides critical legal services to vulnerable and disadvantaged women who are often victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse. Despite providing an outstanding service, their 'A' rating has been downgraded to a 'C' by the city council, and they are likely to have their subsidised accommodation withdrawn. Working at very short notice we were able to get 727 signatures to send to the city council in time for their meeting.
