Radical feminist march takes place in Berlin

WDI UK - single sex accommodation in NHS hospitals

Thank you to Laila Namdarkhan and other WDI UK members for their work in ensuring WDI could submit evidence to the NHS review into single sex acommodation in hospitals past the deadline, which was unreasonably short for organisations to respond. A copy of the submission is available here.  

Male politician calls WDI Brazil 'transphobic'

A male politician in Brazil has called WDI Brazil 'transphobic' for using the term 'prostate carrier' to describe men.

Anti-women activists hold violent protests in Mexico

Anti-women activists took part in violent protests against the Autonomous University of Mexico and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in the Sciences and Humanities (CEIICH) for hosting an online forum 'Necessary Clarifications about the Categories of Sex and Gender'. UN rejects requests to review EHRC status

The UN has rejected requests to review the British Equality and Human Rights Commission's 'A' status after a co-ordinated campaign by various anti-women groups and activists. 

Australian Green Party in 'turmoil' over trans rights

Hundreds of Green Party members have signed a letter to the executive of the Victorian Greens demanding action over members with 'trans exclusionary' views, after Councillor Rohan Leppert asked for debate on sex and gender issues. More coverage of the issue is in the Sydney Morning Herald and

Confusion over 'conversion therapy' ban in the UK

The British government caused confusion last week when it went through several U-turns concerning the proposed ban on 'conversion therapy'. The current situation appears to be that 'conversion therapy' aimed at changing someone's sexual orientation will be banned but that aimed at changing someone's 'gender identity' will not. 

British MP announces he is 'trans'

British Conservative MP, Jamie Wallis, announced that he is 'trans' and has a diagnosis of 'gender dysphoria' in a statement widely praised by politicians of all parties. 

Anti-women activists petition to make all college hostels mixed-sex

TRAs have petitioned that all college hostels in Karnataka be open to either sex on basis of self-identification. 

Iowa court upholds 'gender identity' discrimination case

The Iowa Supreme Court upheld a 2019 verdict that the state had discriminated against a female employee by refusing to let her use the male locker rooms and toilets.
